ISLAY
Islay didn’t start out as a musician—she spent years studying global governance, power dynamics, trauma healing, and philosophy. While moving through the world trying to become someone, she ended up feeling like she had lost something—connection with herself. At her first yoga teacher training, they asked her, “If you could do anything in this life, what would it be?” Her answer: Sing.
After reconnecting with the intuitive leadership of her body, Islay began to write—first to heal herself, then to express her truth. She creates through her body, feeling her emotions and then putting sound to them. She has turned pain and heartbreak into art in her first EP, Healed From Toxic.
Healed From Toxic is the artistic expression of the journey of liberation she has moved through to embrace her sensitivity and build her confidence to express herself authentically. Her music, a dreamy blend of pop, folk and country transforms pain into power and possibilities, telling the story of reclaiming her voice and her power as a woman.
Islay’s mission with her art is to inspire other women to take their pain and turn it into material to create beautiful lives, and to not be afraid to take up space—a reminder that it is safe and good for women to be fully expressed and alive. Her hope for her debut EP, set for release in Fall 2025, is to inspire women to trust their bodies, love, care for, and embrace themselves fully, so they can move through the world authentically and with conscious impact.
